ADVANCED STATISTICS CBET 22-502A

This course deals with statistical inferences where hypotheses are evaluated and tested about some characteristics of the population. It covers the two areas of statistical inference: estimation and hypothesis testing. Estimation includes the topic on confidence intervals of the mean and proportion. Hypothesis testing encompasses both parametric and nonparametric tests. Parametric tests include test for means for one, two and at least three population means, correlation and simple regression analysis. Nonparametric tests on the other hand include chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test and Spearman correlation.
